Great pic Dennis

Pat- sounds like a very busy fish with TONS of personality...always a plus even if he does make sandstorms occasionally :)

Here is the other one.

Looks like you have a little xenia frag shelf going there! :D

They will be off to the LFS this weekend.

Wow - that is a lot of xenia. It grew a little eh? :)

Tank looks really well maintained. Have you had any corraline growth along the glass / back? or are you scraping it off?

Just a wee bit! :D I think there is only one piece on the original rock.

The shelf where the xenia sit - is that something you made yourself or did you buy that off the shelf (so to speak):D ?

I made it. I also made one that was more like a box that I could put the xenia in so they wouldn't get blown around before they attached themselves to the rocks.

That's pretty cool. I think if I could make some of these things myself I'd be able to get my spouse to cooperate a little more on the hobby. LOL.

I'm curious and wanted to do a poll on the tbs folks here - anyone still have their tigertail cukes? If you do - what size tank do you have?

I thought they were really cool (until mine started spewing it's digestive tract everywhere).

I still have all of mine and I see them all the time.

I have a 36"L, 70g Oceanic Reef Ready.

BTW, I get no cooperation from anyone in my family on the tank. I do it all on my own. :D

I still have all of mine. They are now HUGE!!!!! They are even coming out during the day scrounging through the sand. I have two that when they stretch out, are easily over a foot long. :eek2:

That's great to know. I think I was a little bit impatient when I first started the tank. I regret their demise. :(

Hmm - the only cooperation I get is from my 3 year old who loves to help me find the serpent star when I try to target feed it. Too bad it's this bundle of green and black arms/legs. When people see it - they think it looks like this giant worm. I like to think of it as my mini-octopus...lol.

oh and I shouldn't forget that my wife calls me to tell me when the ozmolator is running low on top-off water. It makes this gurgling sound...so there is "some" cooperation. :D

Dennis- Your tank looks great! I love that shelf, what a neat idea.

Phil- I don't have any of my cukes left. I lost one during shipping and the others just disappeared.

My wife helped me with topping off the tank when I was in Alaska. She also keeps an eye on her favorite corals and will let me know when one looks bad.

She also is very good at pointing out corals she does or doesn't want in the tank :D

Everything else is me.

Brian

My husband caught one gorilla crab for me and is also good at pointing out corals he does or doesn't like. But has actually learned the names for most of the corals in the tank.

As I said I get nothing. I don't even think they look in the tank when they walk past it and you have to go right by to go upstairs.

I something was to happen to me the tank would crash!:( My neighbor actually knows more of what to do then my own family.

We had about 6 cukes in the tank. We only see one so I am assuming the rest went to the big tank in the sky. :) Of course, we have a 150g with 300lbs rock. The things could be behind the rocks and we'd never know it. The one we do see is huge and stays out in the front of the tank. It's an eating machine!!

The second condi we put in the tank went behind the rocks about a month ago and we have not seen it at all since. I'm not sure if it died or if it found a nice spot and is staying there. If it gets as big as our first condi, we'll at least see it's tentacles now and then. :)

I feel the same way. My tank is in the basement family room. I wouldn't know who to trust in my family if something happened to me. I have the lfs business card in my Dad's office so he can call just in case. :(
