Wow Jan, that's awesome! Not once did they ever do that for me. I guess they settled down for you. I remember you saying when you first got them, they seemed unsettled.

This guy was out and about this morning. There's more than one because although I didn't see the entire worm, there were 3 ends that I saw......

Nice picture Pat, it seems that your new camera is better taking pictures of your former TBS tank?
Brian

Not really Brian....I find it's more difficult taking pictures thru the acrylic than the glass. If I am not dead straight on with the acrylic, the pictures are distorted.
Also, with that worm.....I can't use the macro lens at all. All the pictures come out blurry with it no matter how close or far away I stand. That picture was taken with the all purpose lens on "auto". I just cropped out the worm.
I can't take any pictures looking down into the tank, or else they're blurry/distorted. Just straight on...no angles. :(

I forgot to mention in my last post.......Bob was telling me he saw the orange pistol chasing Benny (the blenny) around today. I've told you all what a PITA Benny is....he's always knocking something down, and stirring up the sand and generally making a mess of the entire tank. I just wonder what he did to the pistol to make it go after him???? :eek1: :eek2:

It's not just acrylic. The same thing happens with a glass tank too! My lens won't focus properly at an angle either, only straight on.

Dennis,

AWESOME PICTURES!!!! I especially love the horseshoe worm pictures. They are SOOO pretty, and I have at least a dozen in my tank but they never come out with my crappy camera.

Everyone else,

Has anyone had their Christmas tree worms or horseshoe worms reproduce in their tank? I just noticed a new Christmas tree worm and several horseshoe worms that are very small and in spots I would think I would have noticed them before. I ran out of phyto and am going to be adding it twice a week starting next week.

Brian

So now you see the problems that Danielle and I deal with no matter what we try to do when taking a picture. There is no 'Straight on' in our tanks. They're bow fronts. :(

Hey,

Does anyone here use the following?

Sunlight Supply Tek-Retro T-5 HO Retrofit Kits

Do you like them? I saw they were on sale in the clearance section on Drs Foster and Smith for 119.99, good price?

I only have those horseshoe worms. No christmas tree worms. I have never seen any others so I hope that kind of answers your question.

BTW, Thanks everyone. :D

Well it's kind of a gift that keeps on giving back. My Mom got it for me but it goes on her camera. She figures she can use it for her needs but justifies buying it as a gift for me. I have to borrow her camera so the lens does me no good by itself.
