Our Tbs

Steve, the tank looks great! I like the look of not so much rock in it. We have more of an open look in the 90 now and we like it and the fish like it too.
I also noticed in the picture with the hippo.....that isn't TBS or Figi ...it looks like MI????

Thanks Pat, I love the new tank. It could be Marshall Island. I bought it dry for real cheap from a local store. He gets about a ton at a time and it is incredible rock. It isn't as heavy as the others and has nice holes throughout it.

Yep, it looks just like our MI. I think it's the nicest rock. I love the shape and weight of it for sure. Where did you put all your other rock? Did you keep the other tank too?

Here are some pictures from this morning:

Hello Everyone-

It's been a while since I posted. I went home for about a week for Christmas and New Years. I was nervous about leaving the tank for that long but it did ok during the time I was gone....it was the day before I left that it had problems :(

I have a heater that has a separate probe that senses the temp in the tank and turns the heater on or off accordingly. Unfortunately the probe had come loose and was not in the water...my temp was 85.7 when I noticed the problem. Luckily most everything made it through the temp spike without problems. Unfortunately the only thing that didn't make it was my big brain:

So I was pretty bummed about that but happy everything else made it....happier pictures to follow :)

Nice pictures Danielle! I figured you went away for the Holidays.
Sorry to see the Brain gone...:(
Did you get a new camera or lens? Those pics look more macro than I remember you posting in the past.

Thanks everyone!

It's the same camera, which has a super macro setting so a few pictures are taken with just that. But my husband got me some new lenses including a set of macro lenses which are used for about half of the pics.

A sad day :(

A sad day :(

Danielle,

That picture of your brain dying is just so sad :( :sad1: I am suprised it died at 85.7, I thought Florida waters got that hot. Maybe it was because it rapidly got hot?

I do love your other pictures! Your porcelain crab is now my desktop :D

I was really upset about the brain because it had tried to go down hill on my once before and I did target feedings for about a week and it came back. It was only about the size of a quarter when I got the rock and grew to about the diameter of a tennis ball. I agree about the rapid temp change because 85/86 isn't THAT hot. I may rearrange the rocks a bit now because I now have the skeleton right in the front of the tank which depresses me each time I look at it.

Glad you like the pics. I thought the porcelain crab one was really funny...looks like it's a stick-up :)

sometimes a brain dying - if you leave it in with the right light and stuff, a baby starts to appear and thrive

Here are some fish pictures. The foxface is stirring up the sand just like Benny does...so we just can't win in keeping a tank crystal clear.

hmmm, maybe I'll just leave it in place and see what happens then. Thanks Nick.
