Would you happen to know what kind of fish this is?

I can't wait forever for Sally to post pictures.....so here are a few of their tank.

This is their brain coral and when she fed it some silversides:

Here is an awesome colored sponge. I never had a neon green sponge like this with either part:

This is a tube coral that is dying and making a comeback:

Great pictures Pat! That is an awesome brain coral Sally.

Post more pictures Pat! This weekend will be a big photo session for my tank, several new additions and some growth shots too :)

The very sick little TBS brain is still hanging in there and might even be forming feeding tentacles :) It wasn't fed while I was on vacation, so I hope I can get it to eat again tonight.

EDIT: I used to have a LOT of that neon green sponge, then one day something decided to eat it. I have a few tiny pieces left that are recovering.

Brian

I'd love to, but I have to let Sally post what she wants to. I will post one more...a full tank shot.
I'll be getting the CD out to them in tomorrow's mail, so hopefully pretty soon, she can show us a few more pictures.

I just heard from Sally....their computer crashed. She said she'll post pictures as soon as they fix it or get a new computer. She asked me to apologize to everyone here for the delay.

patsan, that beautiful sun coral, you might enjoy this link

and the video he has of feeding his sun coral. Look for the "Sun Coral Feeding" link on this page (under Video)

Nice looking reef!

It's not mine ZoeReef...it's Lossman's. I have some pictures of it eating also, but when Sally gets her computer fixed or gets a new one, she can post them too.

Some people do it with a credit card Bob...gently getting under it's foot, and others have had success blowing a powerhead at it. I've never tried either.

Hi everyone,

I'm six days into my first installment. The cycle is almost done, zero ammonia and a little nitrite. I found a four inch mantis and he looks very cool. My kids love it. Should I have it evicted or should I let him stay.:)

John

I would say that is your personal choice. I wasn't blessed with a mantis (just darn gorilla crabs) so I really don't know how bad they may be but my understanding is if you keep them fed they aren't too bad. I think maybe the worst is you may have to keep replacing your clean-up crew because they eat them.

I agree with Dennis. These type mantis aren't the worst. Every few months you'll need new snails (and crabs if you decide you like them and want to keep them in the tank)

Woohoo, I snagged me some gorillas last night while a huntin'!

Two quarter-sized suckers and a 2.5 incher!

That Sears tool really does the trick. My wife was happy to help, she just didn't want to see them after they came out.

Three down, 75lbs of rocks worth to go.

You'll have to replace that claw many times before you get them all out of the tank. Glad to hear you got some! :)

By the way it looks this am, I figured I might. :(

If I have to buy them, I have to buy them.

Necessary evil I guess. Saw my first set of glowing eyes last night.

Little bugger was laughing at me I think.

I buy 2 claws at a time because just when you need to use it the darn thing won't open or it will break.

2-1/2" one! How did one that big make it into the tank? You must have some real good hiding spots in your rock.

Two at a time... wish I'd thought of that a week ago when I bought it.
Yeah, I was floored when I saw it!

My wife loved looking at it in the tank as did I. He was a bold little bugger too.

I have some REALLY pourous pieces, some with a few big holes.

John, if you only have part 1 so far, son't even worry about feeding anything yet. If you have part 2 already, give it time to cycle, and then just feed it reef chili or something like that since you don't have any fish yet. It tells you how much on the jar and goes according to the size of your tank.
