Also found two new critters last night.
The first one I've seen before, I just never knew it was alive. I always assumed it was part of the shadows in the rock itself from where it hides.
This is one. Any ideas?
The other is a really purple looking crab, isn't hairy and doesn't like to be photographed. That enough information to ID it?

SuperFresh has them on sale up here for $7.99 per lb. They average around 2 lbs. per pack, frozen. I think they are normally $16.99 per lb.
BTW - I don't know if you have SuperFresh down there but they are a grocery store up here.

OH--OK. I thought maybe it flushed them out of the rock or something similar.

elzool - If it was anything like mine - it will be a long but fun night!! Mine came in about 9PM. I really had not expected the amount of rock I got with the second so had to sit back and think about where to place everything.
If you get some surprise anemones like I did (and it seems like others have also
), be aware they are extremely soft/fragile. I had to get them out of the bag (they attached themselves to the side of the bag), keep them in water, and then figure out a place for them to sit.
My water parameters returned to normal within one day and everything is doing great. However, I cannot find my peppermint shrimp. :strange:
