What are you going to do with the mantis? I think I have a couple of old PMs from people that wanted mine, maybe they will take it?

Brian

I figured I'd post a picture of him on the mantis forum in just a bit. He's not very pretty, just an average mantis. I'd really rather not ship and hope to find someone locally. My son has named him Floyd.

I thought of you last night, when I was looking at the tank after loading in all the rock. I found a TINY Cirolanid Isopod...

Now I have to go read your methods of elimination just in case.

This our new pet, Floyd.

Some shots of a completely unarranged tank.

The triangular rock with the yellow ball on it measures 17-18" on each side... It's a big un'. Really beautiful to boot.
Lotsa... stuffs on it.

When pulling the rock out of the bags last night I thought the yellow was small ball or apricot... look it was late, it was the last rock and I was tired.

Man oh man is this some nice rock.

My son loves the critters. He keeps running over looking at the enormously long starfish legs that poke out form time to time and jsut squeals when he sees them. Loves the cucumbers and snails and crabbys and shrimps oh my!

Thank you so much for doing what you do Richard.
This is just amazing!

elzool â€"œ Looks good!! You got some good looking stuff. What size package did you order?

As Brian stated, some reefers will take the mantis off your hands and pay for the shipping. Here is my post on the Mantis thread in the Invert and Plant Forums: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=850655 took a few days but a guy in Chicago had me ship the two I had in my rocks to him. We are glad they found a good home! My wife actually got a little attached to them!

Jay

I ordered the 75 gallon package.

Withing a half hour of posting in the mantis forum I had 4 PMs and three were from out of state. I posted asking for anyone in state to contact me. One of them was and he will be trading me frags for the shrimp.

My wife is really creeped out by him and doesn't know if she can ever eat shrimp again.

Oh, I could never give up my shrimp. :) I only like shrimp and lobster.
I was at Sam's Club today and saw the King Crab legs and they were $10.99 a pound. I was thinking of everyone here and the conversations comparing prices. :D

Here's a peek of my orange pistol shrimp. The darn thing was out all the way and as I was grabbing the camera, wouldn't you know it...Bob walks in the room and scared it back into hiding. He did that one other time it was out all the way. (which rarely happens for me to see)

elzool â€"œ That was quick!! It was a little hassle to send the critters but I think I’m one of the few reef tank guys in my area so had to go that route!! At least you will meet someone in your area and get a trade to boot. :)

Pat â€"œ where did you get the pistol shrimp? I was at Red Lobster last night - Mmmmm!!! Pictures are great! I left my camera in my boat about an hour from here so no new pictures. I did decide however to switch my tank to a 55 gallon tank. Don’t really like this tall tank. So will start that this weekend.

Jay

It was a hitchhiker with my rock Jay. Danielle also has the same kind.
I forget the name of them, but I think Richard said they were golden something or other. Let me tell you...this thing make pops so loud it's unreal!!

elzool- looks great! That condy looks really big.

Pat- I had to bribe mine to get this pic:

Lucky for me the pistol shrimp enjoys the same foods I feed my sun coral :D

I was mistaken. The King crab legs here were normally $9.99 per lb.

The King crab legs here are on sale for $7.99/lb....and that's all the way in Montana. Seems like you people closer to the coast should be able to find them cheaper. Personally I prefer snow crab. BTW elzool, I don't blame your wife, those mantis creep me out too....looks like some kind of mutant earwig!

Everything looks great here. I doubt I will have much of a cycle.
I posted a lot of photos in this thread. I defenetly have several mantis and gorilla crabs.

That mantis I found is just the weirdest little critter I've ever seen. I can easily see the facination many people have with them.

Found another 1.5" stone crab, he became breakfast for the rest of the tank just a short while ago.

My cucumbers are on the glass in various places... is this normal behavior?

2 of my 3 pistols come out at feeding time. this is in my 9 month old 75. the one in my 33 which is over a year i still havn't seen. got a great deal on 2 month old tec t-5. that was the last piece i needed to start my frag tank.

starting with a 30. i got a tec 36" t-5 with 4x39 bulbs. i have been making a few bucks, so we want to take it up a notch

right now xenia and gsp. i have some leathers next and i have a green leather that i paid a lot for and its growing fast, so i'll frag that too.also have 4 bta's that i'll cut in half.

That's great. I had to put some Zo's in the sump as they were suddenly spreading too fast. I have some acro's too that I should really start fragging and I owe Pat some Monti Caps.

I owe Phil a frag or two too but I haven't seen him on in a long time.
