Re: Anyone ID this?

does it have spiny hair - from the pics it looks like some of our local fire worms which are more on point color than those at the bottom of this page

Hi Guys, anyone ID this?

Just something I found while moving stuff around after the local frag swap The picture is not the best but its as good as i can get with no macro lense. It is more flat then round but it does have some minor thickness to it, it has legs like a centipede and can swim pretty well in the water, had a hard time catching it. It is about 1 1/2 inches long.

TBS thread rises from the grave!

Thought I'd finally post some pics of my tank. Only issue i'm dealing w/ currently is cyano in the display. I don't feed heavily (1 cube of mysis or homemade food mix or pinch of Form. I per night) I think it may be just low flow. I'm tinkering w/ my CL to try and see how I can improve things. On to the blurry pics!

How long is it taking your guys's TBS to cycle?

Each person has different results. For some people, they barely have any ammonia readings, and for others, it's pretty bad.
But I'd say for the most part, cycling is fairly quick with the TBS....a couple of weeks before they can order their part 2.

It seems like those who have a really rough cycle, have some death on one or more rocks. That's why it's good to smell it all before putting it in your tank.

I plan on gettinga 40 gallon package soon. I am very excited. I hope to seed the tank out with some saltwater from some existing tanks to hopefully reduce the cycle time.

As long as you smell each rock before you put it in the tank, and make sure nothing smells like butt, you should be fine and most likely will have an easy cycle.
If you do smell something funky, make sure you scrape it off before putting it in the tank.

Pat that looks like red slime to me. The same thing I get in my tank and no matter what I do I can't rid the tank of it.

What looks like red slime? I'm lost.

You STILL have it in your tank even after treating it? :( :( :(

The red stuff that is on your rock and sand.

Yupp. No matter what I put in there it still seems to come back.

On my rock and sand??? I haven't posted any pictures in like forever!
I really don't have any red slime in the tank at all.

Sorry!!!:(

Those weren't your pictures. Those were Techreef's, for some reason I was thinking that they were yours.

Whew, I knew I didn't have any, so I thought you were loosing it. :D
Bob is actually changing the water right now, so I snapped a few pics to show you there's no slime.

Hi everyone! Glad to see this thread is still active. Well, it’s been almost a year so thought I would post a few shots of mine. Some of the coral that came on the rock have been bleached by the T-5's but the ones I placed low are thriving. Anemone and the gorgonian are doing great!

Full shot â€"œ I’m hoping the SPS will grow up and fill the upper area!
