Outer Orbit HQI/Compact Fluorescent/Lunar Fixture 48" Version: Long Island, NY
Pending the completion of my upgraded light fixture I will be selling:
Outer Orbit HQI/Compact Fluorescent/Lunar Fixture 48" version
Microprocessor controlled internal electronic ballast means no bulky remote ballast assemblies. Sleek, self-contained fixture minimizes clutter while providing the combined light output of metal halide and compact fluorescent bulbs. Plus more lunar lights to provide an atmospheric nocturnal viewing environment. Features integrated cooling fans, parabolic reflector, protective splash lens, two timers, two independent on/off switches, and two 72" power cords. Includes docking mounts and hanging bracket (can be set atop canopy or hung from ceiling), appropriate number of 150 watt PowerPaq 10000°K HQI double ended bulb(s) and Dual 460nm/420nm Actinic square pin compact fluorescent bulbs. 15" x 4-1/4" high.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, the fixture is almost 2 years old. There is 1 problem with this fixture, but I believe anyone with some electrical knowledge will know how to fix. When the light powers on the fans come on but shut off rather quickly. And since the fixture doesn't get cooled, the left side HQI either flickers or shuts off for periods of time. I'm sure this is an easy fix but I'm about as savy with electronics as a female using a urinal. Otherwise, here's what the fixture comes with:
-Light fixture. Has intact splash guards for the pc's and glass shields
-(2) Reeflux 10k HQI's nearly brand new. Used for less than a week. I bought these because I thought one of my phoenix 14k's blew but it was actually the heating issue I mentioned above.
-(2) Sunpaq 130w PC's used for about 2 weeks. They are daylight k because the phoenix were blue enough for me without the need for actinics.
-(2) Phoenix 14k HQI's used for roughly 9-10 months so they still have life in them.
-I believe I still have the original 10k HQI's that came with it. They were used about 14 months so I'm fairly sure you wouldn't want them in your main display. However, if you have a HQI for a sump or frag tank...
The Reeflux HQI's were 120 bucks before shipping and the 130w PC's were 100, both bought recently. Drs Foster and Smith are asking $640 and it comes with junk HQI's. I'm asking $400 + shipping for it all. My zip is 11953 so I will ship however you like. I accept Paypal. Yes I'm charged a transaction fee but I won't be asking for that from you. I will ship the next business day AFTER I have a confirmed payment.
Items I might consider for trade(I have a 95g wave tank):
A good quality calcium reactor setup
Vortech pump(s)
Digital Aquatics ReefKeeper 2 Controller
High quality protein skimmer
Obviously the items listed above aren't necessarily equal in value. That is something we could hash out in private messages. I will try my best to respond in the order which people reply to HERE. If you choose to send me a private message, please respond here so I may address them in the proper order. Thanks for looking!
