Outrageous prices for zoos

There are always those people with excess money who must have the latest and greatest and price is no object. It does not bother me if people wish to spend hundreds of dollars per polyp unless it causes a general raising of prices for all types for all people.

Well, if you read the beginnings of a lot of limited edition corals and zoas, most of them are just happy accidents. The Leng Sy cap came on a piece of live rock and didn't look like much until it was given some care. Some of the hitchhikers we get can turn into something great given a little time...just depends on how much patience you have.
When Acans were in vogue the prices were through the roof, now they are much more reasonable in price.

Seems like palys and zoas are the new "IN" thing...hence the out of sight prices....

no, they don't. I pay the same for them as I do any zoa from the wholesalers. it's the 'collector' making the rediculous prices.
Some wholesalers are marking up their prices on RPE rocks. Not even the nice RPE, but the really dull brownish ones.... just because hobbyists are running around all excited about the green mouth on their hopefully special paly.

You see it all the time on RC. "Look what I got! Is this rare?"
