over flow noise

my tank just finished filling, the tank is plummed into the basement..... how do i adjust my durso so the water does not go up and back down making a sucking noise?

and there seems to be alot of air in the lines and is making a very loud sound... will this air work its self out or is it all in conjunction with the dursos not adjusted correctly?

You need a bigger air hole in your durso. The lack of airflow restricts flow, causing water to rise until the water gets high enough that a syphon is formed. Then it flows faster and the level drops until it sucks air in, breaking the syphon with a hideous sound.

this is the overflow kit that comes with the AGA mega flows...

should i drill the whole bigger? are you sure the height of the durso has nothing to do with it?
