Overflow - best option for 90gallon

Hi all, I hope this thread is not much redundant but I have a specific question regarding the overflow. I will soon receive my new custom made 36x22x23h tank, peninsula style with two 1in holes for the drain and one 3/4in for the return. I would have two options:

- classic herbie overflow
- modified durso overflow with gate valve and additional emergency drain

Which would be the most quiet? I never used herbie before, only durso classic which was not too loud but on a smaller tank.
Which one would you suggest?

Thanks a lot

If it is custom you should have done 3 holes and did bean Animal over flow. The safest for sure.

There IS a 3rd option.
Come back over the top with your return line into a Sea Swirl.
@ less than 75 gallons of water use the 3/4" as your secondary drain.

I can’t do that because the stand is basically a wall and I would need to open an hole for the pipe to go through. The herbie will have a secondary emergency drain, is that a good alternative to the bean animal?
