Overflow Box Clean out....

I was wondering how often people cleaned out there overflow box if they clean it out at all...

Mine seems to have algae build up in it a couple days after I clean it out which I think transfer is part of the problem why I can't keep up with the algae in the tank... My phosphates are at 0 and I am only feeding once a day.

So to get back to the original reason why I posted this thread... Should you clean out the overflow and if yes how often....

I cant speak for anyone else but my thoughts are more along the lines of cleaning every 6 months or so.If your having algae outbreaks it can help to clean areas collecting detrius more often.
