Overflow box question and help

A few weeks ago I bought a 125 Lee Mar tank with center overflow. The tank has been sitting for the last few weeks as I'm waiting on my steel stand to be delivered. When I bought it the lfs told me to drill into the overflow box to plumb the return line. Now I'm
Getting closer and closer to actually plumbing it. I'm really hesitant on the advice my lfs told me and recommend that I do. I brought the problem and dementia I'm currently facing and he agreed that it was not a smart choice to drill into the over flow box do to the simple fact what happens when the power goes out and the pumps are of. That's a lot of water to back siphon into a 40 breeder sump. After racking my brain all day I have decided to ask the question and see what responses I get from the pictures I've included of the box. I know I don't want to plumb above the over flow box so now I'm faced with where to put the return nozzles since I know I need to modify the overflow box at the teeth.

Thoughts, comments, suggestions

Not sure what you have planned for the back of the tank or behind it But if it were me I would use both of those holes for Drains to sump. With one turned down u shape the other just turned to side a bit higher then the other with a Valve on the biggest.

I Would put the return over the top of the tank with loc line. nozzle

I was planning on using the holes as it was designed for one drain to sump and one return line with loc a line return nozzles. The drain I'm going to using a Maggie muffle. Been wanting to test that out. The back of the tank will be up against a wall.
