Overflow Box Sloshing Noise

Perhaps I wasn't clear in my post a noisy drain is not the bigger of your problems. The problem is you are kinda flying by the seat of your pants with the plumbing "you got from a friend".

I'm not sure but it looks like you have a dual standpipe setup and with what I can get from your photos looks like one is plugged at the rubber tube going into top and suppose to be a full siphon. I think that would be called a herbie type setup with the non siphon acting as a emergency drain. Someone with more herbie experience might chime in here.

All I know of plumbing I spent time reading on the bean animal SILENT FAIL-SAFE system and recommend you browse that info. I think alot of folks run herbies that are quiet but don't offer as much fail-safe features only using 2 standpipes. The full siphon is the key to quieting things down, no more gurgling sounds. Check those 2 styles out. Full siphon will pull ALOT more water at a MUCH quieter sound. Again not trying to be a negative just trying to help.

Oh and one other thing I saw in one picture is your AC Surge protector is right in the path of a water leak from your drainpipes......THAT COULD BE BAD again trying to be helpful here :)

Sorry I must have missed the post, I think was typing my post about adding the filter media when you posted and I didn't notice.

Do LFS sell enkamat? I was trying to find on amazon to avoid paying shipping on glass holes, but I can't find many places that sell it.

Thank you! I appreciate the help, now I have to find some, if not I will place an order with glass holes
