overflow boxs. cast or extruded ?

do these boxs need to be cast acrylic or can it be extruded acrylic ?

All acrylic in contact with water should be cast acrylic. In the thread "Acrylic Fabrication Questions? I can help", the reasons are dealt with extensively. In the end though, it probably does not matter for an overflow box.
