Overflow gurgling sounds...

I installed a pair of durso stand pipes on my 210 and I drilled the small hole on the top cap of the drain but once in a while the right side does a loud gurgle and the water in that overflow drains about 5 inches and then comes back up again, I already drilled a very large hole on it going from the very smallest size to the largest and it does this just once every 10-20 minutes or so. It used to do it over and over until I drilled a larger hole.

Could this also have something to do with the lenght of the pvc drain of how deep inside the sump/underwater it is? Currently the end of the drain is about 6 inches under water.

Any ideas?

It could, yes. I've had the same problem when the drain lines dips down then back up, instead of steadily downward. Water would build and cause a siphon.

for some reason the hole you drilled on the one is not big enough and is siphoning. if you can drill it a little larger and install a small valve on it so you can adjust it to where you need it

+1 on this.

I use to have the same issue with my tank . . also make user that the hole is clogged with anything.

Good Luck

the biggest drill bit that I have is a 5/16 and that's the one I used, could I maybe drill a small hole right next to the big one or would it be better just to buy a new bigger drill bit?

Should I cut the pvc drain that's under water to make it not do in so deep underwater as well or just make a bigger hole on the top cap?
