overflow problem

help!!!! 180gal tank corner overflows both seam to loose suction they will drop below elbow gurgle then fill up to tank level then drop again ,pump is a 2200 danner and seems to be working fine:hammer:

Do you have a ball valve on the drains? If so it sounds like you need to adjust it to match your pump output.

valves on both sides never adjusted either, tank was running fine switched pump off to feed turned back on and heard the gurgle

I am curious about one thing is this a problem that just happened? It sounds like this is the same pump you have used for a long time and the gurgle just started. if thats the case i would remove and clean the pump and check any hoses for obstruction. I never recommend using a ball valve on a drain I hear a ton of people that do that and it ends in an overflow

thanks for the input I checked the pump and it had sucked up a piece of filter sponge and restricted the flow [from some pods I put in] every thing is working fine now the pump is only three months old

If you are not running an emergency drain, you will have a flood eventually. Ball valve or not. I have the beananimal style drain with a back up to my back up. My drain is completely silent and floods are almost impossible.
