overflow problems

how can I make my overflow stop slurping? I've tried turning back the flow on my return pump but this does nothing. I need help!!

I'll never use a durso again. A friend had a moth land on the air hole on top and the damned thing dumped all ofer the floor.

Try putting a valve on the return so you can slow it down and let it build up some water in the overflow so it doesn't suck air. And fill the overflow with bioballs to reduce the noise.
