overflow question

i have a 42 gallon hex and im looking for a overflow box what gph box should i be looking for?

500 - 600 GPH would work just fine.

ok thanks guys ill look into it and buying a return pump as well i heard mag 5s were way too loud. what would be a decent pump that isnt as loud?

a mag 5 would be too small anyways. Check a head loss calculator and then go from there. Id say a 7-900 gph pump would be good if you have a tall tank, head loss accounts for alot

it will roughly tell you though, pick a mag 7 then an approximate on piping, that way you will see what you will be losing
