overflow ??

Okay so I just picked up a 375 g acrylic tank, the tank currently has three 2 and a half inch holes drilled in the top back of the tank, 2 on one side and one on the other. I am having issues figuring out the best way to set up the over flows without them being loud and without having to add large overflow boxes inside the tank. Any ideas ??

you could do external overflows and just put some egg crate over the holes on the inside.
you could use a 90 turned up with slots on the inside, smaller than an overflow box.
i used two small internal overflow boxes that are only 5" deep and 4" wide and have different lengths but one is 20" the other is 12" http://barraquatic.com/overflows.php
