overflow

Hello I have a tank that cannot use the typical overflow box. It has a input and an output in the back corners of the back glass. Two 19"x22" openings on top. Will it work if I make a 3 sided box and silicone it to the back glass over the intake? Thanks

Are you trying to stop stuff from going down ur drain? If so they make a peice that fits in there and acts as a strainer and or u can prolly make a box but it might make alot of noise can always look into a external box

I want to increase the flow without making it gurgle.

To increase flow without gurgle I think you may need to look into a “Herbie Drain” (do a search for Herbie in the forums). You would need to run both holes as drains and either drill another hole to use as a return or come over the top of frame.
On one of the drains you would install a gate valve and adjust it so that you just get a trickle of water to go down the second drain (That does not have the valve). The one with the gate valve will effectively be a full siphon at this point and make no noise.

A herbie drain will not work in my situation. No room.
