Overhead shots...

Messing around in my tank tonight and decided to try some overhead shots with my junky camera. Can't afford DSLR, still trying to figure out what the next P&S camera will be, but for now, just for kicks:

Thanks, and will do. Just added my Ca reactor a couple months ago and these milles have just exploded with growth. I have a blue one that is starting to branch out pretty good too. Looking forward to all my other frags starting to size up as well!

On the green mille, it is pretty close to the side of the monti cap. I've noticed that growth of the mille on that side has slowed. Is the cap maybe chemically blocking the mille from extending on that side? I always kind of figured it would be the mille overpowering the cap over there. The cap looks better from above, than from the side. Wish I could tilt it and look at it that way.

Thanks guys!
They're liking the new Ca reactor, and I'm liking the results of them being happy so far. :D

Hey Dave what do you have the drip rate set at and how many bubble per minute are you running your reactor at. P.S nice caps.

Doesn't really have a drip rate now, it's practically just running through. Bubble rate is about 15 - 16 bpm. Not entirely making sense to me since I set it up. I calibrated, and then re-calibrated, the pH probe, but the lowest my reactor has gotten so far is 7.1 on the reading. However, my Ca was staying stable at 420 and alk in the low 9's dKH. I need to run tests on it again, as I haven't done this in a couple weeks now, but all of the SPS continue to grow, so I don't have any reason to believe that my numbers have strayed. I'll test it again soon to make sure though.

I finally caught him on film! My weirdo foxface likes laying with his belly in the green star polyps under the actinics. He falls asleep this way and starts to keel over.

Blurry...had to shoot him from a distance and blow it up later.
