Overstocking you tank?

That is just plain wrong. There are way too many large fish for that aquarium. Even if his parameters are fine, some of those fish should not be in any tank smaller than a 240 or larger tank, especially the Spadefish, Snappers, and Lookdown.

Two things :

1: It's lucky for them that HK gets some very nice specimens from indopacific, which dont have to suffer the flight over to us. The average quality of the fish would probably be a little higher there.
Walkin down the "goldfish street" and you'll see the animals there in surprisingly good shape (at least to me)

2: There are a lot of crazy posts on youtube. The one you linked isn't so bad, but someone of them are really hateful.

Lunner, What you guys dont see is the 300Gallon tank that is connected to that itty bitty tank. lol :fish1:

That emp and blueface are MASSIVE! What's up with that one batfish? Yuck!

it definitely seems like there are different areas of aquarium space that are not shown, as the Lookdown and some others come out of nowhere in the middle to late part of the clip. I could be wrong, it just seems like there's more water volume than it is letting on. Still...lots of those fish should not be housed together, almost no matter how big the tank is.

I try not to get into the discussions about overstocking but noticing the Lookdown swim in from the right was when I completely lost it.

I really hope that's a temporary display tank that would be used at a convention or trade show.

Looks like fish come and go from the bottom right corner. But with that many big fish seeming to hang out in the area they are in, with only a small opening to another area, seems it would be kind of a nitrate/ammonia trap. ??

You can see the lookdown swimming against the glass on the right. I don't think this is part of a large tank. Looks like a baitwell of beautiful fish.

Watch the bottom right corner. Fish disappear there, but only smaller ones.

They're probably disappearing into a massive grouper we don't see.
