oxygen...aquapod 12

Hey folks,

Just moved all my gear from a 6 gallon eclipse to an aquapod 12. The eclipse amazed me with its performance.I was worried about PH swings and dissolved oxegen levels with the eclipse but apparently it was never a problem. In that little tank I had 2 clowns ,pygmy angel, blue legged hermit, watchman gobie and an emrald crab.Never had a single problem with hair algae and in fact had coraline aglea growing under the weak lights ( go figure). I attribute all the success to one thing and one thing only, the Polyfilter ( it's also a great plexiglass cleaner and won't scratch).

1) Anyway, on to the question, does anybody know ( other than buying an expensive meter) if there is a to figure out what the levels of DO are? Other than doing the obvious such as good gas exchange at the surface or adding a noisy/messy air stone, is there an inexpensive test available?

2) Has anybody tried to keep anemone's (spelling?) with this little system. I think any anemone is a risky proposition no matter what but maybe some of you guys have done it without MH lighting.

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure about the DO, but I just asked about keeping an anemone in the 24g Aquapod with the pc lighting. I asked this in the anemone forum and was told yes and no... I seen a couple people on here keeping BTA's under low wattage pc lighting and I'm going to try give it a try.
