PAB 6 socket control issues

Greetings all, just set up my first p3ex this weekend, as well as my first marine tank in a long time. I am assuming I just missed something simple, but I am having no luck finding answers on the support forums, so here goes. I have my PAB6 set up and communicating with the controller, the yellow com light is flashing. I have updated the firmware to 1.06 and it shows up in the system tab. So, I am trying to set up my heater to run off of the PAB. I highlight socket 1, change the value to temp-1, heater and save...nothing. I check the temp-1 sensor screen and I am at 25.5 actual degrees with a nominal value of 26, so it should be calling for heat. Just to confirm that the PAB is communicating, if I set socket 1 to always on, it works, it turns on the heater. But when I switch back to temp-1, nothing. If I put the invert switch on, it comes on, but it stays on past the nominal temp. Am I missing something simple here, any help would be appreciated...Regards, Kevin

If you can manual switch on and off, that tells me the socket is working and communicating with the controller.
It's your temperature setting that is off. What is your Hysteresis? This is your +/- change.
If your nominal value is 26 and your hysteresis is 2, the controller won't do a thing with heat or cooling if it's reading 25.5.

Nick, thanks for your input. Right now the Hysteresis is at 0.2. I actually followed the setup thread by AQD Ottawa and I have mirrored his temperature setup, except that I have 26 degrees instead of 28 degrees. I recall when I was first playing with the set up, I thought it was working. I then went into the sensor page and lowered the nominal temp. and the heater shut off like it should, i then raised the nominal back up and since then it has not worked. Would this have something to do with it? Kevin

Nick, I will have to track down some software to do that, do you have any recommendations or can you do that with a windows tool? I am at work so i will respond later tonight, thanks for your help so far...Kevin

If you have Windows 7, there's a tool call "snip it". It's actually a very good tool for screen capturing.
Otherwise, the simplest and free way to do it to print screen and edit it in paint.

Nick, I think I did this right, here are the screen shots you requested

Your operational mode is off. :)

Here's how mine look. Let me know if there's still any issue.

Lol, no problem.
Yeah, I just got mine last week. All set up with remote access. I'm working on a website with webcam next.
I'm not an expert, but let me know if you run into any problem. So far, I'm loving this controller. I haven't ran into any limitation on what I want to do with it yet.
