Pacific live sand vs Florida live sand

I see you carry both (florida in e-tropics). How different do they look physically? Is one whiter or finer grain then the other? Any functional personal preferences/differences?

stanlalee,

One of the differences between these two sands is that the South Pacific Live Sand may have more of a pink coloration compared to the Florida Live Sand. Another difference is the regions where they are collected. Because the Florida Live Sand is shipped a shorter distance, we are able to offer a lower price on this beautiful sand. The exact type of sand to use in an aquarium setup is mainly a personal preference. Both the South Pacific and Florida Live Sands make excellent additions to a reef or FOWLR aquarium, and have both been successfully used by our customers.
