Cheap unit where they skimped on things they shouldn't have.
The T5's are sort of cooled and the T5 reflector is a JOKE. They only needed 2 T5's and they tried to squeeze in 4. They paid for it by using cheap reflectors.
When I first saw these they caught my interest. Once I dug deeper and looked into design, I was turned off rather quickly.
John Ciotti made some great points about the way they designed the fixture. The screws they used to hold the fixture together, really take away from the external appearance. They should have counter sunk and powder coated them to match. Instead they have multiple colors going on.
JMO on it.
A good T5/LED fixture is needed but no one has come out with one yet that is any good IMO. It is like most companies put a ton of research into the LED side or the T5 side but not both.
Look into the sfiligoi genesis LED t5. Totally over powered, but from their reputation of their other fixtures. It looks fantastic
I am satisfied. It is great! I have a 45" tank and I have the smaller Metis CRP. I wish I would've waited for the XM for the additional PAR, but that'll always happen in the industry.
The pandora actually would be longer than my tank so it isn't an option.
And as far as the reflectors being a joke, from what I've read, it's the same reflectors that ATi uses, are they that bad?
I think it's brilliant. And j think once people see it, they may really start to jump over.

Hopefully, ATI gets around to their own T5/LED combo unit. I assume it would sell like hotcakes.
