Anyone have any idea what these clear tubes growing on the rock are. They were not present when I first put the rock in the tank. Now they are growing quite rapidly and appearing on more than one rock. Just wondering if this is the beginning of the dreaded aiptasia I've heard everyone on here complaining about.

Rocks are looking great so far, lots of life, and have had no problems cycling. My first shipment I believe has cycled, according to yesterday and todays water tests. These are my parameters as of 4:30 pm est,

temp - 76 degrees F
salinity - 1.023
pH - 8.2
ammonia - 0.0 ppm
nitrite - 0.0 ppm
nitrate - 15 ppm
phosphate - 0.0 ppm
alkalinity - 9-10 dkh
calcium - 340 mg/l

The salinity, temp, and pH have been very stable throughout the cycle. My ammonia and Nitrites which are now at 0 and have been so for the past day. I believe my nitrates are up because im running my canister filter with sponge and bio-media which is prob trapping some nitrates, plus I havent done a water change since 12/6. Anyways, i guess that I am ready for part 2 of shipment.

Also, should i start feeding phyto now to encourage invert growth, etc.. or should i wait until the second half of package is in the tank and has cycled? Should i do a water change before putting in the 2nd half? (last time I did a water change was 12/6, but all water parameters are nominal now, see above post)
