Pad under internal pump

I have a Mag sitting in my sump that is pretty loud. I put a silicone oven mitt underneath it and it helped a little, but not alot. Can I put normal 1" Styrofoam underneath it instead inside the tank, or is there something better I can use? Thanks.

A zip lock bag full of sand does wonders to cut down on the noise and vibrations.

If it is hard piped put a 6" section of vynal tubing between it and the hard pipe on the discharge and suction also.

I have vinyl on it already. I like the sand idea, I will try that and see what happens.

I use a mouse pad, you can get them from walmart for a buck or two and they work great.. Spend the extra money and get the gel ones, I have one on every pump...

I filled up some ziploc bags with sand and that did the trick. I cant even hear my my Mag running now. Thanks!
