found out i have a large income tax obligation this year that i have to pay & i have nowhere near enough of it, so unfortunately, i have decided that this wonderful hobby is where i have to make my first cuts :(

http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1557856

i also have a nice bit of woodworking tools i bought to build my stand that i'll be selling. pm me for details since i can't post them here i think

there are also the few fish i have:
* pair of clowns - $10
* fuji damsel - $5
* bicolor blehmy - $5
* nice size serpent star - $5
* red starfish - $5
* cucumber worm? - $5
* 2 cleaner shrimp - $5
* hermit crab - $5

& my corals:
* small torch coral $ 10
* gorgeous brain coral that opens up to 6-8" - $50
* kenya tree frag - $5
* small rock w/ 2 stalks of pulsating xenia - $5
* few small frags from swap that will include the magnetic frag rack - $15

the fish & corals i can meet pretty much anywhere in nashville & will consider offers for multiple items together

i have been contemplating this for several days & it absolutely pains me to sell this stuf....especially since i was sooooo close to getting my build finished, but sometimes sacrifices HAVE to be made :(

Man, I'm sorry to hear this. Looks like you are going to hold onto your tank and dry goods which I think is a good idea. This could be temporary.

yeah, if the tank doesn't sell, i'll try to store it & the monster stand, but i really need to get rid of all of them
:(

Sent you a pm. I can come by anytime this week/weekend. I'm alos intersted in the brain and the frag swap frags/frag rack.

Thanks James and a bump for the thread.

I saw James’ brain but did not buy it (insert humorous one liner here). I do want to say though it is a really good looking specimen, very bright green and would easily open up to 6” diameter.

I'm really sorry to hear about this. Best of luck man and don't forget we're here if you ever get a chance to get back in.

i'm not going anywhere. i have one of those 3 gallon pico tanks that i'm gonna setup soon....not sure if i want a single black clown, or a few pieces of coral, or possibly a seahorse tank

i'm almost certain i am also gonna keep the biocube 8 since i have practically noting in it, i'll probaly just keep it & maybe something like the above list

the 12gal nano is my main desire to get rid of out of the 3....the halide is just too much evap to keep up w/ for my tastes

i think a large tank that requires a sump, skimmer, etc is also out of my desire list for the time being, but i think my next project i want to do is a larger all-in-one. i'm thinking a 24x24x18 & doing 6" in the back for a sump/fuge/return & possibly a nano skimmer in the tank like a bigger biocube tank...that would make it 24x18x18 internally for the display & works out to 45ish gallons total volume w/ 34ish gallons in the display.

i think a nice small rock wall & the 18" depth makes it a great depth to work with :)

so have no fear, i'm not going anywhere.....just won't be joining the "big tank krew" anytime soon......
