paint question

what kind of spray paint is best used to black out the back of the tank. i dont want cheesey backgrounds and i dont want to look at the wires

to answer the cardboard question backgrounds are fine in theory and can look nice .......But it drives me nuts when water gets between the glass and the backdrop it gives a better impresion with a solid look on the back of the tank. solid color makes people focus more on whats inside than being distracted by a sloppy background or wires and tubes.
 
Any kind of latex enamel will work. 2-3 coats let dry completely after each coat. Scrape it off with a razor blade if you don't like it. I used Rustoleum but any kind will work. Mine is black but I heard navy blue looks real nice too.
