I am wanting to paint the back glass on my 55 gallon aquarium, but do not know where to start. What kind of paint should be used? And, how should I go about doing it. I would appreciate any input. Thanks
Krylon Fusion. Just under $4 @ Walmart. I just bought it today. Spray the outside not the inside. You will need a few coats but it looks great and it drys fast too.

Thank you for the help. I will look for the paint at the next time I am at walmart. If anyone has any more info about how exactly to paint the tank, I would appreciate all the help. I am a little nervous that I might mess up the project. Again thank you for the input.
I've never done it before either until today.
Buy some blue paiters tape and tape off the areas you don't want painted. I used newspaper around the sides and front. Make sure the tank is laying flat so the paint doesn't run. Use sweeping motions. I did one layer length wise and the next layer I did top to bottom. I figured it would get every nook and cranny this way. You will need a bunch of coats. Wait about 30 secs between each coat. I kept looking in through the bottom of the tank to check. At first I thought it looked bad but the more coats I put on the better it got.
Have FUN!!!
I've always used Engine Block spray paint cause it's thicker and I prefer black rather than blue . Mask the tank super good and take your time between coats .
All of that would work just fine, but because it is on the outside of the tank a specialty paint is not needed. I just used the cheapest flat black spray paint I could find and it has held up just fine.
