I've been mulling the idea of selling my pair of black/white occelarius clowns. They've been with me for a long time and I've decided just to check and see if there is any interest in them.
The female was purchased from saltwaterfishcom and the male was from ocean design aquarium. They were both tank breed/raised. They have their full 3 stripes and are JET BLACK, NO orange. The female is about 3" long and the male is about 2" long. They are both very healthy and have been living on Rod's food for about a yr.
I have yet to see any eggs even though they do the shake thing all the freaken time (kind of funny looks like the male humps the rock). They are currently hosting in some green clove polyps and do their shake thing on a rock behind the gcp but I've yet to see anything, even though it's tough to see back there. So I do not consider them a breeding pair.
These fish do host as they hosted my rbta before it died on me. They've been hosting the gcp for about a yr and a half now and have totally ignored the new rbta that I added to the tank.
I currently seen a pair for sale at the drs and their asking price was definetly more then what I'm asking for. Plus my pair is definetly better looking then their's, as stated before mine are completely black outside of the white stripes.
Why am I seeling them? I currently have a 10 gallon tank with a pair of Rod's onyx clowns and they have colored up very nicely and I guess they are ready for prime time. I'm willing to give them a crack at the big tank....lol.
Again I am just checking to see if there is any interest for I do love these fish
and am not 100% sold on selling them.
Drs are asking $229......I'm asking $160
I can post more pics if interested.
Thanks,
