pair of clarkii's or maroons in a 26?

do you guys think a pair of clarkiis or maroons would be too much for a tank this size? kind of an iffy tank size.....

Hmmm, I think they may get a little big for a tank that size. I think Clarks stay a little smaller so I think they may be a better choice.

I think Ocellaris would do best in that size tank....even though that wasn't one of your choices

Agree and even Oscellaris seem pretty big after awhile. Not like a maroon, but my female is the biggest fish in my 100g.

Every time I put the ruler up to the front of the tank she hides behind her anemone -- but I think she's 3.5 inches long I know she's fat as a pig. One of my anthias is that long, but she's a lot more fish.

The Clark's are the largest of the clown family; in that tank I also recommend Percs or Ocellaris, Pink Skunks would also work.

But not orange skunks, right? Don't they get rather large? Easy to get them confused

Yes the Orange will exceed 5''s while the Pink's seldom exceed 3''s.

The Clarks are not the largest of the clown family. I am by no means an expert on them but I know they don't get as big as the maroons do.

Actually the maroons get about 17 cm and the clarkii get about 15 cm. Either way they get too big for a 26 gallon tank.

Well with that whopping 2cm difference the tale of the tape is in girth and the "Pair".
Maroons which grow at a slow to moderate rate may exceed 5''s (female) while the male seldom exceeds 2''s.

Clarks are reported as the fastest growing and maturing of the clown family and will also exceed 5''s with the male nearly as large as the female.
Next time I'll try to be in less of a rush and more specific.
