pair of latz on marine center 700 dollars

It may be too steep for you, but it is not for a lot of serious clown keeprs. The thing is, they don't have they fish in stock, have not had them for years, and most likely won't have them for years to come, so they could be $3.99 for the pair, or $3,999. for the pair, they don't have them at either price. Here in the states a lot of online dealers put these rare fish pictures on their site, but they don't have the fish, it just makes them "look good".

interesting reply, a tad aggressive but what the hey
I suppose that if you had been a breeder for some time, had all the right elements for rearing and growout and flet confident then you could recoup that outlay relatively quickly.
Shame you seem to think that they are lying they do seem to change the lineup maybe thats a load of crap too.

You have to look at there availability list.

The only semi rare clown they have is the Allardi Clown

seems steep to me [/QUOTE

This is a matter of personal opinion when discussing rare fish prices. Fish that are difficult to obtain like Latz Clowns command whatever price someone is willing to pay to get one or a pair. If I knew that had a pair and they were healthy and disease free I would have no problem paying this to obtain them.

Likewise.

Yeah, pretty much a load of crap. I know I'm not the only one on their e-mail list. :)
In fact I went as far as to purchace latz from one of these vendors (Pet Stop) just to call their bluff. I called the guy twice. He got stammery and gave me a line of BS. " call on Monday, that's when all our shipments come in" after that I got an e-mail message saying 'you order has not shipped, please call if you wish to change or add anything to your order.'
It's a ploy to get you to order those and something else. You do and they only ship the common item and promise to ship the rare fish later but never do.

Sorry if I came off as a tad aggressive. I guess if you ever had the animal in question ONCE you are entitled to put a picture of it on your site. To marine center's credit IT IS NOT on their availabilty page (which I check often). But to me its one step away from having a whale shark on there with an "email me when its available". Yeah, they have allardi, but that is the most unusual species they have most of the time. As for price, for those of you that think 700. is too steep, find a pair for sale, and then sell it to me for $700.
