I have a venustus angel that is a bit under 3" in length and currently resides in a 29g FOWLR with a falco hawk. After learning that one the fish stores I go to gets venustus in regularly (although whether they arrive healthy or not is a hit and miss), I decided it would be nice to have a pair.
My question is if the 29g is big enough to house 2 of these fish for a while? What size tank do you recommend for a pair?
I know normally two angels in a tank so small would be a big no, but being paracentropyge, are they less aggressive? Of course I would divide the tank in two for a while as well.
Are there any signs that an angel is transitioning from female to male?
