They can't reverse sex themselves. If yours has already morphed into a female, which I would assume is highly likely since you've had it for over a year now, then puting another female in the tank will cause problems.
I haven't heard much about Oscellaris clowns being aggressive, but have been told that Oscellaris are one of the most easy going clowns available. I would just put a small clown in there and eventually the 2 will co-exist.
However, I'm still a novice to all of this but have been doing a fair amount of research on clownfish over the past few months. Hopefully someone else with more experience can chime in. But no matter what, don't put a larger clown in there. Always better to go for a smaller one, if not the smallest possible just to avoid any chance the 2 are the same sex.

ITW419, Once female the clown stays female. Like Raibaru said, just get a small juvenile and use a some kind of container to get each of the clowns used to eachother. If the female starts charging, then I would not let the clown out of the bag. If everything seems ok, then wait another couple of days and then release the little guy. Good luck with everything.

i read and was also told by a very intelligent expert on clowns that as long as the clown never spawned then it can still change sex. i got a larger Oscellaris clown at the store today and it is a beautiful fish. also at the lfs they had a breeder pair that was an oscellaris and a percula which was pretty cool. as for my fish they seem to be doing fine together and hopefully will pair up.

It is a theory that clowns cannot reverse. My belief is that they just won't. Once they have reached the top of the hierarchy why would they just drop back down?
Mixing 2 females is asking for trouble though. Neither will want to give up their power and one will end up with its gills ripped out or carpet surfing.
