pairing gsm clowns

So I picked up a pair of ORA gsm clowns last night. One is barely over an inch and the other probably an inch.

I obviously want them to pair up or atleast not kill each other. Any tips to encourage them to pair? or is it just luck?

They are in QT right now.

Are they together in QT? If they aren't already killing each other that's a good thing. If they have been separated (like with eggcrate) then just keep it that way for awhile. You should start to notice one or both of them hang out close to the eggcrate as if they are longing to be together. It's really all about observation of their behaviors while they are apart that will clue you in to whether they will pair up. At the size you speak of I'd say you have a good chance, very good chance.

they are in the QT together but not always hanging out together. I guess Ill just watch and hope for now.

if they are nice to eachother when they are close then you should be ok. if they were added to the qt together they would have sought each other out when added cause moving from tank to tank is rough for them, i say you have a good chance they are friendly now and stay that way.

Unfortunatly both died in QT over night. No idea why I had them a little over 24 hours. Water was fine as there is a flame angel in a different QT but with water from the same tank.

I may look into a breeding/mated pair to avoid conflict once they get older.
