Pairing larger clowns

I have an almost 2 foot magnifica and a BTA, but also a grouper that I don't trust with fish under 2". I would like to add a pair of clownfish. Do I need to buy a pair? Or can I buy 2 over 2 inches (not necessarily the same size) and hope they pair up? I suppose even with this size tank, breaking the 2 clownfish to a tank rule is not possible.

I would recommend getting a larger bonded pair. Sure, you can get singles and hope they mingle, but theres a chance they will kill each other

You would need to get a very large older established pair, but w/ most any grouper they will always be at risk.

If I had a 2 foot established healthy mag I'd just rehome the grouper and add clowns.
