Pairing up cinnamon clowns

Krazy

In Memoriam
I have had a large female cinnamon clown for sometime now...

she hosts my rock anemone, yes i know rock anemone right...

haha,

so today I found the perfect lil guy for her, he's wayy smaller then she is yet not to to small..

I put him in the tank today and within 10 mins she was chasing him all over as he tried to get with her in the anemone.. she wasnt having it...

he's hiding in the corner, but how long do they fight before she either kills him or takes to him ????

I dont expect them to be laying eggs but it'd be nice to see em pair up and be nice :)

well he's still alive today but she still insists on some chasing him to the other side of the tank... :(

Separate them somehow, but allow her to still see him. You can use eggcrate or a species container. Female cinn's are brutal, she may never accept him.

She just chases him to the 1 corner, doesnt literally touch him or anything, he still looks GREAT, no chips off his fins or anything like that, he looks a lil sad that no one likes him but doesnt appear stressed... He defiently shows interest to her though, even after her repeated chasing...

Try putting my in a breeders net ( if you can catch him) and leave him there for a week or so, that way she can see him but not touch him. Eventually she will except him, Cinnamons are a lot like maroon's in that they take a while!!!! to acclimate to eachother.

yeah she isnt chasing him anymore, she just lets him wonder out of the corner some now, my royal gramma just looks at him like go over there with her please, LOL !!!
