Palatine 180g prices dropped

Dropping prices on all items as interest kinda tapered off. I am willing to consider any fair and reasonable offers, especially for multiple items. I have been extremely busy the last few days but I will try to reply as often as possible.

180g AGA tank - $300
Good condition. Back is painted black. No overflow. Fail-proof pvc siphon overflow and some misc plumbing and stuff included. Have a float switch for a few bucks.

Custom 180g stand - $75-125
73x25x40, pics in gallery. Will fit a 125g inside so plenty of space for sump/equipment. Has sliding racks for hanging/moving lights. Unfinished oak skin sticks on with magnets. Can be finished and stained to match your room. Cost depends on if you are getting the 180g tank or any other equipment. The wood alone was like $400 and it's very well built so at a certain point I'd convert it to a work bench.

Custom Recirc Wetnet Skimmer - $275
Roughly based on euroreef rc-250. Relatively easy to dial in, skims well and requires very little cleaning or maintenance. It needs to be level and requires a consistent input flow. Anyone with an auto-topoff or really large water volume should be ok but if you have a smaller tank and let your water level go up and down the bubble column (and skimmate consistency) will go with it. Best suited for a large tub-style sump with auto-topoff. Has a Gen-X 6000 recirculating needlewheel pump. It is built with 3/8" cast acrylic and 8" cast acrylic tube and is very strong and well built. It is 28" tall with an 8" tube and is built in 4 layers (because I had to fit it through a 7.75" tall opening). The base is 10.75" by 20" but could be cut down a lot smaller if needed. I left it big because I had the space. It is designed and configured for internal use but the body itself is well sealed and water tight except at the uniseals where the pump and hoses connect. These could be sealed pretty easily and the biggest issue for running this externally is that I THINK the pump has to be run in water for cooling purposes. The various valves and stuff are not glued (since I ran it internal) and could be reconfigured to suit your specific needs.

2x PFO 250w HQI Ballast - $125 each ($180 at PA)
Excellent condition, basically brand new. I also have an old/used 20k radium and 12k reeflux to go with each ballast which could be used for color comparison or temporary/emergency use.

2x OceansMotions Super Squirt - $180 each ($260 new)
Both are wired with long cords/plugs. All connections have unions and I of course still have the plumbing that connected to the other side. Both are quiet and have a extra motor that you could use as a backup or for some other purpose (the first set was abnormally loud so they sent me 2 of the quitest motors that they had as replacements). The drums are version 1 sequential that have been modified to have an extra hole opposite the main drum opening. This diverts a portion of the flow to the opposite port. For example you'll get like 75% output through port 1 and 25% through port 3 and as it rotates this will change to 75% through port 2 and 25% through port 4 and so on. http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/...uirtdrumox5.jpg

2x Seio 1500 - $40 each ($70+27 at PA)
Both have tunze-style mountings using large mag-floats (this is why the price is kinda high). These will hold on 1/2" glass but it depends on the angle (my tank gave them additional support due to an overflow baffle). On a tank with thinner glass like a 125g they work great alone. http://img316.imageshack.us/img316/...iomagnet4cl.jpg

AirWaterIce Typhoon III RODI - $135 ($190 new)
Includes everything including the TDS meter. Has a lot of extra tubing and valves and stuff (well over $50 worth). I estimate that the filters and DI are about 2/3 used so there is still a bit of life to them. You will need to get your own supply valve/clamp or faucet adapter to feed the unit as I of course used the supply valve that came with it and can't remove it because it puts a hold in the pipe

Blue RHS-10ATC Refractometer - $30 ($45 at PA)
Not much of interest here, it's just a refractometer. Essentially brand new.

2x 250w and 1x 200w Ebo-Jager heater - $15 each ($23-24 at PA)
Again nothing special. Just some heaters.

40-50ft flexible 1" pvc - $20
Used this for water changes. I don't remember exactly how long this is but it's pretty big. I can measure it if needed. Includes an "iffy" rio hyperflow pump for transfer (moves tons of water and is great but unreliable startup).

where are you located? Im interested in the 250w hqi, a super squirt, refractometer, and the rodi unit...I will pm you my email, can you send me some pics? thanks

You could always get it and store it in your garage :)

I'm back online for the day again and should be around quite often for any questions or purchasing.

I'm waiting to hear back from a couple people who are interested in package deals but if I don't hear back soon I'll go ahead and move to the next person in line for things so let me know if you're interested in anything.

I'm right by Fremd HS and Harper College, just a few minutes from Motorola /Woodfield / 90-53 exchange. I should know within the next few hours which items are still available and will reply/PM as soon as I know.

Finally awake and caught up with PMs again. Those darn olympics! Went to bed at 2:30 after gymnastics and stuff then woke up before 5 to catch USA vs Canada womens soccer. Game was great but required over 4 hours to finish due to rain delay and overtime! USA won 2-1 but left me with desperate need of a lunchtime nap :)

Just some updates here... I've had tons of interest in everything but everyone seems to vanish at the last step of deciding when to come get something :( Bad luck I guess. As of now everything is available again.

I would especially like to sell the tank, stand and skimmer and am willing to give a good deal on a set. Please ask and I'll consider any reasonable offer. Depending on your distance/location I might even be able to help you move it with our van if needed (though manpower may still be an issue).

The RODI price will be dropped by $20 to $115 because it looks like it will need a new prefilter/DI set now rather than later. I had already factored a replacement set ($40) into the cost so this drop is mostly there to cover the shipping cost and inconvenience it causes. Although I occasionally flushed the unit to keep everything going, according to airwaterice the extended period of non-production caused the DI to settle/exhaust and means the new filter pack is needed now rather than after the last 1/3 that I thought it still had left. I apologize for this but did not find out until a day or two ago when I went to test/prep the unit for sale.

One last thing to note is that I will no longer be holding items for anyone until you are actually leaving your house and on your way here to buy it. I hate to do this as I feel it makes the exchange less pleasant for both parties but I've passed up over $500 in sales holding things for people who ended up disappearing or changing their mind and I simply can't afford to do this any longer. I hope you understand. Thanks.

Here is an update with a GREAT deal for you guys. I don't want to sell this low as I know the value of these items is a lot higher but my mom really wants to re-arrange the basement and these items aren't exactly easy to move or store.

Tank + Stand + Skimmer for $575

I would like to sell and remove it by this weekend if at all possible.

The refractometer, one 250w heater and the 200w heater are sold and no longer available. I still have one 250w heater left and all the other items listed.

While testing the skimmer for somebody the impeller broke. A replacement costs $25 so I'm taking $50 off skimmer price to compensate for the hassle. Skimmer is now $225 alone.

Since this is my last free weekend before I leave I've decided to lower prices for tonight, Saturday and Sunday.

180g: $275
180g + Stand: $350
180g + Stand + Skimmer: $500
PFO 250w HQI Ballasts: $120 each
Super Squirts: $170 each
Seios: $40 each
RODI: $110
Float Switch: $20
