Some folks have little respect for palytoxin....I was one of them. I had a large colony of brown button palys that was taking over so I set out to pull all the rocks they were on and trade them....they were quite nice looking. I was also starting to experience respiratory symptoms....mostly wheezing....after working in the tank. Never had any real issues though until the day I went to remove them from the tank. After I pulled them and took them to the LFS in Atlanta, with dry hands, I must have rubbed my eyes or something because....I thought I was gonna lose my right eye. I had conjunctivitis and burning so bad that my eye swelled shut and I had to go to the ER. Lots of drops and 3 days later I was much better, but that stuff is no joke.
