(PAR) level

I am just wondering if anyone has used the Ushio 20k DE bulb and knows what the PAR level is.

or does anyone know how these bulbs are in the 20K???? I know the 10s are very nice but what about the 20ss

Are you asking for total PAR, PAR at a given distance or angle, or some other figure or with a reflector? PAR varies depending on how far you are from the bulb of course. Sanjay's tests, FWIW, are done w/o a reflector at a standard distance of 24 inches I think... (cant remember off the top of my head, could be 18" as well).

Also, you forgot to mention a wattage/socket of the bulb you want to know about. A 400 watt SE version is going to be much different, even in spectrum, than a 150wattDE.

I can tell you I am no fan of the 14k Ushio look at all...which is my current setup. My roommate runs the 20k, I'll see if he knows the answer in the morning. And like Hahnmeister said, what's the wattage de/se...and actually what type of ballast?
