The BOD has decided to purchase a PAR meter for club members use. Please make suggestions as to the PAR meter that you suggest we purchase and from whom.

i have a apogee par meter brand new. model QMSS-E i think bkv1997 said it cost around 225.00 for you guys ill take 175.00 i took it out of the box and made sure it worked thats all i won it at the frag swap so it is only 2 weeks old. let me know

Greetings from Gyeongju, Korea! Licor 1800 series if the club can afford it. It is probably the gold standard. The Apogee is probably a reasonable meter and I'm sure much more affordable. Be careful with these meters, though, as they have response characteristics which don't give accurate measurements as the spectrum get more in the blue range. Actually, Jeff is probably the resident expert on this type of scientific equipment.
