PAR meter

I know the club has a par meter however it is attached to a 2 to 3 foot piece of acrylic which did not allow me to take acurate readings in my tank. Anyone have an apogee meter with the sensor not attached? I couldn't remove our sensor (it seemed to be screwed and glued into the acrylic).

The sensor is just screwed to the acrylic, it does come off but someone cut the acrylic and added nylon screws to make the holder short.

I tried to remove the screw but I didn't want to add too much pressure in fear I would break something....it wasn't budging.
