parameters for splitting BTAs

Anybody know what parameters to trigger BTAs to split?

Agree w/above just good water Meaty foods and good light. Not sure about triggering them though they seem to do it when they want to. Two out of four of mine decided to split after I switched tank to LEDS. Only for sure way is to aquaculture them. It works like a charm.

I had a temp. spike to 82 degrees from the usual ~78 degrees and my RBTA split soon after. This video was the day after it split.

A cube of mysis every other week seems to help too

People just assume that it's food/light/good water conditions, but there is no proof...
I know one specimen in excellent water conditions, plenty of food and light but the anemone has never splitted. It's HUGE!
Often the bubble tips in the same system split at the same time, and usually there has been a major change in the routine. Waterchange, new bulbs, skimmer failure, temperature swings, even new fishes have triggered the splitting.
Usually they split when they feel like it...
