Parasite? Fresh water dip.

Hey everyone, I have a 7inch powder blue tang who started to develop a pimple looking sore on the anterior portion on his dorsal fin. I watched him carefully because I have had a fish get this before and went away. It developed into several pimples quickly and then it started to ulcerate. I quarantined him immediately and started him on Furan 2. It helped for the first two treatments, but only by retarding the growth. That was about a week ago. I noticed that it had been creeping down his fin. I decided this most likely was not bacterial and it was most likely parasitic (both because of the resistance to drugs and the powder blue's susceptibility to parasitic infections). I read up on fresh water dips and executed one this morning, the plan being that if it was parasitic then the parasites would not be able to cope with the change in the salinity. I had the dip-water buffered to 8.3-8.5 and temp was 76. The pimples quickly popped, puss and little white gooey objects flowed out. One enen popped further down that i had not seen. After all of this my point is, I think the dip worked and i was wondering if anyone else has had success combining dips and antibiotics (one for the parasite and the other to prevent infection respectively), if this was safe for my favorite fish, and after this possible success should i start him on a dip regimen daily? After i dipped him i fed him not even two minutes later and he gladly accepted the food. I know its lengthy but I wanted to make sure I was as specific as possible. any input is greatly appreciated. all water parameters are within normal. Thanks! :fish1:
i will post pics as soon as possible, but he is pretty camera shy :)

After the dip yesterday the fish looks much better im seeing new skin growth. but i think it is still too soon to tell. I dipped him again today in a buffered freshwater mixed with furan2. If anyone has any idea if this is okay to do i really need some input. As is though, i think i will keep him on a daily dip because it does not seem to be stressing him too much (still eating). If anyone knows if this daily dip is too stressful or if there is something i can change please let me know.
