Parasite in my tank?

I've got a fairly young tank (a couple weeks), 75 gallons with about 90 lbs of like rock. I've got a marroon clownfish, cleaner shrimp, 10 snails and 10 scarlet hermits (soon to be more). I've also got a couple soft corals (Xenia, some zoos, mushrooms...).

I'm running a 4 bulb T5 teklight fixture over the tank, and when I shut down two of the lamps to gradually dim the tank into night, I was watching my mushrooms, and from behind the rock I see a small wormlike creature come out and move around. It looks barely bigger thank a human hair, is cilyndrical as far as I can tell, seems beige-pink in color, and any time I try to flash light on it in the dark or go near the water with my hand, it dissapears instanlty. It's the only one I've seen so far, although I do remember seeing something similar a few days ago, but I thought nothing of it until I saw the thing pretty much swimming/crawling around today.

Should this worm thing be a concern to me? I read that you can bait and trap most parasites that can be harmful, I just hope I haven't got a big problem on my hands.

Thanks!

Cheebs.

P.S. The little worm seems to always come out from the exat same spot, and I've never seens it's other end, although it 's about 2 inches long at it's longest. could it be some kind of tentacle from a caral of some sort?

There are all kinds of worms that show up in our tanks. Most of which are not parasites :D

It could be harmful, but it could also be beneficial. Check out pics of a peanut wom, as that seems to be the description, but Ive never seen one "pretty much swimming/crawling around", only stretching out from a hole, only to retract at the slightest change in light, or hint of danger.

Aslo check on spaggheti worms, as those are similar in action, but thinner IME.
