Part # Confirmation

Roger,

I think I know the answer but want to confirm before ordering. I have an Oceanic 120 (48x24x24) mostly SPS and want the controllable streams (alternate use and variable flow). I plan to order:

(2) 6000 Streams
7094 Multicontroller
3000.244 kit

Do I have the #'s correct? Since I'm planning on only 2 streams, is the single controller a better option?

Also, I have seen you recommend that streams be placed in opposite back corners; the Oceanic tanks however, have good-sized overflows on each corner. Would it be best to place the streams opposite each other on the tank sides?

Thanks

You have all of the right part numbers. You could position them on either end, you could mount them to the overflows and forego parts 3000.244 or you could mount them in the back just to the otherside of the overflows. They swivel on the mounts so you have quite a bit of control. The only advantage the multicontroller will offer is the ability to have one pump off while the other is on and to coordinate the action of the two pumps- one can be at 30% power while the other is at 100% power- you also get the photot cell which is an option on the single controller. Please understand that their will likely be some wait- about 3-4 weeks. The 6000 pumps have just started to come in and I would expect that most vendors have preorders that will depleat the first couple shipments. I haven't had multicontrollers for a while- they changed some components and quality control procedures. I expect I will recieve some in 2-3 weeks.

Roger, thanks for the confirmation and feedback.

Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ve placed the order with Marine Depot and understand that theyââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢re on backorder.

All good things require patience. :D
