Partial Resealing?

I am new to the hobby. I bought an old 75 gallon tank and resealed it completely but I am astetically unhappy with one of the vertical seams. Can I remove the silacone in the one vertical seam and reseal only that portion or do I need to redo the whole aquarium?

You should be fine doing that. I did the same thing with an old tank the I had purchased from a guy who used his as a rat tank for his feeder rats.

You say you "resealed it completely". Does that mean you took it apart and re did all the silicone, or that you took all the silicone out of the corners inside the tank without taking it apart? The inside silicone is more of a security layer than really required. Most new rimless and eurobraced tanks don't even have that inside 'seal ' layer.
